DOGGONE DRAMA? A Statement of Recent Allegations

November 5, 2025

We have been informed of a deeply troubling accusation submitted to the Accountability Board. The email says Mr. Barnaby Bright allegedly shot a dog belonging to a local resident who self-identifies as “Bingo Bob.” First and foremost, we want to reassure the public that Mr. Bright has never participated in any recreational or professional animal-related marksmanship activities.

Mr. Bright would like to remind citizens that he remains firmly committed to a Brighter Future—one where our pets are safe and our elected officials do not embellish interactions with family animals for political gain. Mr. Bright is so disgusted by such allegations, this incident will be left out of his memoir "Barnaby Tells All."

In response to this allegation, Mr. Bright will be hosting a community forum titled “Paws for Truth: Understanding Pet Safety and Public Misinformation.” Attendees can expect a brief presentation, a Q&A session, and (by popular demand) a meet-and-greet with Mr. Bright’s own campaign goldfish, Justice. All proceeds from the event will support the Brighter Future Campaign’s ongoing mission.

TOO GRACIOUS? LinkedIn Learning Credentials

October 2, 2025

We have received reports from concerned citizens that Mr. Bright’s extensive eight-minute crash course in ‘Conflict Intervention and Public Safety’ may not meet the public's percieved standards of public office qualifications.

While such formal credentials aren’t on most Sheriff applications, Mr. Bright thought this training would strengthen his campaign promises. In his own words: “Every minute counts when it comes to making our community safer—even if it's only eight.” To give back to the community, Mr. Bright is offering a class open to the public, going over what he has learned in this course. All ticket sales go towards funding the Brighter Future Campaign.

SORRY! Games

We understand there’s been a bit of talk around Mr. Bright’s credentials. Mr. Bright wants to apologize for any concern this may have caused.

While he may not hold a degree in criminal justice or valid peace officer certification, he holds something far rarer: a vision. In an effort to connect with his growing audience, Mr. Bright has created a game to help the public understand how hard it can be to run for election.
